The ID2.308-ML is a compact, modular loudspeaker engineered for permanent installation in high output applications.
The ID2.308-ML can be used to add additional low and mid frequency output to an array, and with appropriate processing, as a steering element. It is intended for use as an array element and is not intended for stand alone operation, or as a substitute for a sub woofer. The iD2.308.-ML features three individually chambered 8" cone drivers and is designed to combine with other iDESIGN modules with the ID2 designation to build complex muti-way arrays. With appropriate hardware, iD2 modules can also be incorporated with ID1, ID3, and ID4 loudspeakers to construct larger muti-tiered arrays.
Arrays containing the ID2.308-ML are ideal for use as primary sound reinforcement in smaller venues such as houses of worship, theaters & auditoriums, gymnasiums, night clubs and live venue music venues. It is also recommended for high impact lounges and bars where music is intended to dominate the foreground.

iDESIGN modules with rotatable waveguides are available in five coverage patterns, offering sound designers the freedom to combine different patterns to form arrays and produce idealized coverage zones. iDESIGN’s unusually steep trapezoidal geometry allows wider splay angles, in a tighter footprint in arrayed applications
All iDESIGN modules offer built-in support for a wealth of rigging and mounting options, including u-brackets, array frames, 3/8” pick points for eyebolt suspension, and Omni-Mount compatible bolt patterns.
The ID2.308-ML is designed for external processing and powering. Connections are made by terminal strip. Each cone driver has its own connectivity, and the connector panel features a second terminal strip for passing signal through to another module.
All iDESIGN modules are constructed of high-grade, void-free 5/8th 12-ply Finland birch that is sealed in our weatherproof ProCoat elastomeric coating. Curved, perforated steel grills protect the system while acoustically transparent foam protects and conceals components from view. All hardware is either stainless steel or is fully powder-coated to resist corrosion. Standard colors are black or white, while custom colors are accommodated by special order.
The ID2.308-ML is primarily intended for mounting with Array Frames and /or Eye Bolts. A wide range of Array Frames are available to facilitate arraying and suspending multiple modules. The ID2.308-ML is compatible with the IDB.88-AF, IDB.888-AF, IDB.828-AF, and IDB.858-AF Array frames. There are 12 reinforced 3/8"-16 pick points distributed across five faces to accommodate cable hangs of nearly any design. Vertical & horizontal U-bracket hardware is also available, as are Omni-Mount compatible taps on the top, bottom and both sides of the module for unusual mounting applications where Array Frames or Eye Bolts can not be used.
