“You gotta hear this,” said one of Jon Anson’s partners. He was at the Bottle & Cork, the “greatest rock and roll bar in the world” and was listening to Queensryche on a McCauley MLA5 line array.
Anson owns East Coast Audio and Video, in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and in fall, 2003, heard a demo of the “latest and greatest” at a shop owned by Steven Payne. From that point on, Anson was sold and has been a dedicated McCauley Sound client ever since. His production inventory now includes twelve McCauley boxes, including MONARC MLA6 line array cabinets, that have helped him become the preferred vendor for the Clear Channel and Electric Factory concerts that are held at the prestigious Tower Theater in Pennsylvania. “This is the first and only line array system we’ve owned,” Anson said. “But what I’ve heard from other guys is that the rigging system is amazing compared to other systems. I really like the way it flies quicker.”
East Coast Audio and Video has also worked with Daimler Chrysler, the University of Delaware, Interstate Batteries / Joe Gibbs Racing, Merck Pharmaceuticals, Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, New Castle County Volunteer Firemen's Association, Asplundh Tree Expert Co., City of Wilmington, Widener University, The Washington Redskins, The Wachovia Center(Philadelphia Flyers) and the Highway One Partnership.
What is the feedback from the field? “Everyone has been really happy,” Anson said. “We’ve produced the Black Crows, Steve Wynwood, Ashlee Simpson and Kanye West at the Tower Theater. We haven’t had any negative comments; all the comments have been great and they keep hiring us. And in this business, this is the key to success; repeat business.”
